"Unsettling the Past: Radically Reimagining Archaeological Knowledge"

"Unsettling the Past: Radically Reimagining Archaeological Knowledge" is a webinar critical archaelogy from Black feminist and Indigenous perspectives.

It's the sixth installment of a webinar series hosted by Sapiens titled "From the Margins to the Mainstream: Black and Indigenous Futures in Archaelogy".

In "Unsettling the Past," Whitney Battle-Baptiste moderates as Sara Gonzolez, Sven Hakaanson, Mateo Romero, and Cheryl White discuss "the radical reimagining of how archaelogy interprets and and understands the past… with Indigenous people and informed by Black feminist experiences… focus[ing] squarely on the continued work of scholars who are helping to decolonize Black and Indigenous pasts by reshaping how archaeological knowledge is created."
